1.1 – Terms of Sale – These terms of sale apply to all orders made on the www.boutique.champagne-jacques-copin.com website
www.boutique.champagne-jacques-copin.com reserves the right to update or modify the Terms of Sale at any time. In the event of modification, the terms of sale in place on the date the order was made apply to every order.
1.2 – Prices – The Champagne Jacques Copin shop reserves the right to modify its prices at any time but shall apply the prices stated at the time of placing your order.
1.3 – Photos – Photos of products sold on the Champagne Jacques Copin shop are for reference only. Colours may vary subject to screen type and settings.
Our products and prices are subject to availability and apply whilst visible on the website.
We check product availability upon receipt of your order. Should a product be unavailable, we shall either deliver the product you order, offer you a substitute at a similar price, refund you by cheque on written request or refund you with a gift voucher within 7 days of confirming your order. For gift vouchers, you can ask to cancel your gift voucher and receive a refund by cheque. Please email: boutique@champagne-jacques-copin.com. Your voucher will be sent within a fortnight of your request.
Any purchase order signed electronically by the customer constitutes final agreement which can only be reviewed within the limits set out by these Terms of Sale. Confirmation of the order form, combined with the authentification and non-repudiation procedure and message integrity protection, constitutes an e-signature. E-signatures have the same value as handwritten signatures between parties.
4.1 – General Information – Any product purchased on the Champagne Jacques Copin shop is guaranteed against any manufacturing faults under normal use. The length of guarantee appears on each product page and starts from the date of purchase. The invoice you receive by email stating the purchase date is your proof of guarantee. If the product is faulty whilst under guarantee, it will be repaired or replaced at the manufacturer’s discretion. The invoice shall be required to apply the guarantee as it states the product purchase date.
5.1 – Payment Terms – You can pay:
1) By card: Payment is made on our partner’s secure banking servers (Paypal). That means that none of your card details are sent via the Champagne Jacques Copin online shop.
5.2 – Security – Your card details are encrypted by SSL (Secure Socket Layer) and never appear in plain text on the network. Payment is made directly by the bank. Under no circumstances does the Champagne Jacques Copin shop have access to these details and cannot save them on its servers. That’s why you have to re-enter them every time you place an order on our website.
5.3 – Title retention clause – The products are the property of the Champagne Jacques Copin shop until your payment has been received in full. However, the risks of the delivered goods are transferred to the buyer on delivery.
5.4 – Non-payment – The Champagne Jacques Copin shop reserves the right to refuse to deliver or honour an order from a customer who has not paid for a previous order in full or in part or with whom a payment dispute is ongoing.
5.5 – Coupons – If they exist, coupons can only be used to purchase material goods. Promotional coupons and coupons credited to your customer account as gestures of goodwill cannot be converted into cheques for refunds.
6.1 – General Information – Products are delivered to the delivery address that you provide when placing your order. Delivery to mainland France (including Corsica)
6.2 – Delivery times – Orders placed by 12pm will be processed on the same day. Orders placed after 12pm will be processed the following day. All stated delivery times are in working days.

6.4 – Delivery – The courier visits your address. If you’re not in, they will return the following morning. If you’re not in again, they will leave an attempted delivery card so you can collect your order from your nearest post office. La Poste holds items for 14 days.
The Champagne Jacques Copin online shop is not liable for failure to fulfil the contract due to a force majeure and in the event of total or partial strike action by postal services, couriers and disasters caused by floods or fires. In terms of products purchased to fulfil professional requirements (retailers, shops, wholesalers), the Champagne Jacques Copin shop is not liable for any indirect damage caused by these reasons, business loss, profit loss, damage or fees that may arise.
These are orders that are not delivered to the recipient for the following reasons: NKTA (not known at this address), unclaimed (when recipients fail to collect their order from the post office in time) and refused (orders that you refuse).
8.1 – Returns due to NKTA, unclaimed, refused – After our teams receive and accept your package, subject to product type, availability and your wishes, we can send the product you originally ordered or a substitute at your own cost. Otherwise, a gift voucher will be credited to your customer account upon receipt of your package by our team. 8.2 – Returns due to damage – These are packages that are not delivered to the recipient due to damage: empty, torn, open, knocked etc.
If the package is damaged, torn, empty etc. you must refuse it and contact our team to inform us. You must ask the courier for a declaration of damage when you refuse delivery.
In the event the package is found, shipped to our teams and accepted, subject to the product type, availability and your wishes, we will offer to resend the product you originally ordered or a substitute at our own cost. Otherwise, a gift voucher for the amount of your product plus delivery fees will be credited to your customer account upon receipt of your package by our team. 9.1 – Returns during cooling-off period – The product you receive is unsuitable: Incorrect reference, latent defect, issue with size, colour, features, completely different product etc. The product must be returned unused in its original condition and packaging, even if the product has been open, with any contents and gifts it may include. As per article L.121-20 etc. of the French consumer code, you can exercise your right to cancel within 7 days of receiving your order. Returns are at your own cost.

Terms for cancelling during cooling-off period – No returns accepted for products in blister packs and products whose return is requested after the deadline. Clearance or sale products cannot be returned or exchanged; excluding in the event of latent defects.
